Argentina, Luján de CuyoNestling in the picturesque hills of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Constantino and Silvina Krontiras’ winery embodies passion and innovation. Since 2005, this biodynamic and organic family estate has been cultivating vineyards that reflect the pure essence of the terroir. At an altitude of over 700 metres, the vines, surrounded by fruit trees and animals, benefit from a unique microclimate that gives rise to exceptional wines. Adopting biodynamic principles since 2016, Krontiras strives to preserve the environment and use sustainable practices. The winery, inspired by sacred geometry, integrates perfectly with the vineyard, enabling optimal aging of the wine. Respect for nature is at the heart of Krontiras’ winemaking philosophy, with minimal intervention in the cellar and the exclusive use of indigenous yeasts. Since 2008, Maricruz Antolin, chief agronomist and winemaker, has been guiding the work in the vineyards and cellar. Her passion and drive are reflected in every bottle, offering a new, natural and unique expression of the Mendoza terroir. Thanks to her meticulous approach, each Krontiras wine embodies the vitality and complexity of Argentine Malbec. The Villa Seca vineyard, with its cool nights and torrid days, favors the cultivation of grape varieties such as Malbec, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay and Agliánico. This natural alchemy between climate and soil results in wines that tell the story of their land of origin, faithfully reflecting the richness and diversity of the Krontiras terroir.
