Château Léoube

France, Bormes-les-Mimosas

In 1997, the estate was bought by the British Bamford family, founders of Daylesford Organic, one of the most sustainable farms in the UK. The Bamford family, owners of the estate, have been ambassadors of an agro-environmental approach that they have been promoting for more than twenty-five years in Great Britain, and have taken a careful and respectful look at the fertile land of Château Léoube. From the vine to the glass, Léoube’s “natural organic wine” is thus the bearer of an authentic approach in perfect harmony with the geoclimatic elements and the fundamental laws of nature. The estate produces rosé, white and red wines and has been certified by ECOCERT since 2011 with the mention “wine made from organically grown grapes”. A gentle blend of biodynamics, organic agriculture and above all know-how, the entire vineyard is run with precision, in the purest tradition, by a skilled winemaker: Romain Ott. An agricultural engineer, specialized in oenology, he has been watching over the renewal and identity of Léoube since 2000, with passion and great attachment to the Bamford family’s philosophy. The Léoube estate has been able to establish traditional growing methods that encourage sustainable development. The absence of aggressive chemical treatments enhances the biodiversity of the vineyard and its natural defenses, without depleting the land. The goal is clear: to obtain the healthiest and most balanced fruit possible!
