The Punset farm is located in Neive, in the heart of the Langhe in Piedmont, perched atop a hill overlooking the former capital. Its name, drawn from the Piedmontese dialect, has an almost legendary origin: in the past, the Counts of Castelborgo used the word “Punset” — meaning “beautiful hill” — to describe these lands rising above the autumn mists and visible from their castles. In the heart of Barbaresco, the Punset estate has embodied a pioneering vision of wine for over forty years. Driven by Marina Marcarino — an agronomist and true trailblazer — the estate became, as early as the 1980s, the first vineyard in Italy to obtain organic certification. Guided by observation, intuition, and an unwavering respect for natural balance, Marina introduced a free‑spirited and committed approach in a region that was, at the time, deeply conservative. Today, Punset spans around thirty hectares and produces precise, vibrant wines deeply rooted in their terroir, with a remarkable expression of the great Piedmontese varieties — especially its Barbaresco from historic parcels. Here, organic farming is not a trend but a technical and philosophical commitment, serving wines that are pure, alive, and built to last.
